STOP BY AND ASK HIM FOR A SAINT PATRICK’S DAY GIFT!

On Wednesday, March 17, from 5 PM until whenever the party winds down, come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Williamston, where everybody’s Irish! Everyone is welcome at the Chamber’s St. Patrick’s Day After Hours Mixer to be held at Gracie’s Place, 151 S. Putnam St., in downtown Williamston (517-655-1100).  The party will featuring food and beverages (cash bar available) from the Williamston area.

What a fun weekend!

It began with Opal’s Husband at Starlight Dinner Theater in Lansing. This show was a treat ‘cause we got to watch Jane Zussman and Winfired Olds have fun on stage once again. My review is posted on the On Stage page. This show runs again next weekend so you can enjoy it, too. But don’t wait. It is sure to sell out.

Green Zone: lackluster film that should have been better

The Bourne Team is back as Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass reunite for Green Zone. This is a film set in the chaotic early days of the Iraqi War, when no one could be trusted and every decision could detonate unforeseen consequences.

Opal’s Husband is light entertaining silliness

She’s Baaaaaackkkk … Jane Zussman is reprising her role as the simple-minded yet wise Opal Kronke. This time the show is Opal’s Husband, another tale from the houses on the outskirts of the city dump. This go ‘round, Opal wants to help Rosie find a husband, so she answers a newspaper ad for Mr. Handsome. The man who shows up is anything but, yet the 95-year-old captain Mooney is a charmer who needs some help from the girls.
